Globalisation of commerce and industry is a fact. In technology companies, we have also seen "globalisation" in terms of utilising various technologies within one company. In the past, specialisation was usually a good thing and also traditionally promoted, particularly in Open Source in the way of a cult. Yet specialisation can also be seen as anti-globalisation.
The challenge with globalisation in technology is that it is hard to be proficient in multiple technologies, and that applies equally to people and companies.
This keynote will discuss how to create an environment where people and companies could recognise and implement opportunities that bring new technologies to their know-how without losing their momentum in terms of quality of service and business orientation.
